AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO SUPPRESS FOOD CRAVINGS
At AgeRejuvenation, our goal is to help you overcome any obstacle that may hinder your ability to lose weight and keep it off. This includes the urge to snack!
If you are ready to start your medical weight loss journey with us, then it’s time to discuss appetite suppressants: an effective tool your medical professional may use to help you suppress food cravings and continue to lose weight. Keep reading to learn more.
WHAT ARE APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS?
Simply put, FDA-approved appetite suppressants are a form of prescription medicine that is used to control food cravings and reduce the urge to eat. This drug can leave your body feeling full, even with smaller food portions.
At AgeRejuvenation, our weight loss clinics use appetite suppressants for patients that have a hard time losing weight due to poor eating habits. For instance, this medical tool can also be used to:
Regulate portion sizes
Introduce healthier food habits
Control snacking and cravings
Cut back on calories
Our prescription appetite suppressants are a safe supplement that ensures you receive the right nutrition to keep your body healthy and happy in the future.
HOW DO APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS WORK?
One of the reasons we gain weight is because we consume more than the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of calories each day. When excess calories aren’t burned, they are stored and converted into fat. Over time, if too much fat is stored, it can lead to obesity and other medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
Luckily, appetite suppressants can be used to aid the natural weight loss process. Here’s how.
APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS HELP CUT CALORIES
In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume each day. When you eat fewer calories than the RDA acknowledges, you will lose weight. However, many people have a hard time cutting back on calories. That’s where appetite suppressants come into play.
Appetite suppressants help patients lose weight by reducing the hunger feeling, which controls the number of calories that enter the body. With fewer calories in your system, you can naturally burn off existing calories and bring down your weight.
APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS CONTROL HUNGER
Even when we’re not hungry, our appetite might convince us to eat more food. But, why? In our brains, we have a region called the hypothalamus. This small region regulates many metabolic functions, including body temperature, energy maintenance, and eating and drinking.
When the hypothalamus malfunctions, the body’s hormones can send mixed signals to the brain that indicate we still have an appetite. These hormones include ghrelin and leptin.
UNDERSTANDING HUNGER HORMONES
Dubbed the “hunger hormones,” ghrelin and leptin tell our bodies whether we should continue eating or not. On one hand, ghrelin sends signals to our brain that our appetite is growing and the body is hungry. On the other hand, leptin is an appetite-suppressing hormone that tells the brain our stomach is full. When too much ghrelin is produced, it can lead to an increased appetite.
Many times, medical professionals will prescribe appetite suppressants to tell the patient’s brain that the body is not hungry. This reduces the patient’s overall appetite, and consequently, the consumption of additional food.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS?
If you struggle to maintain a healthy weight because of bad food cravings and the temptation of snacking, then appetite suppressants may be an option for you.
At AgeRejuvenation, you will have the opportunity to talk to a medical expert about appetite suppressants and discover if they are right for you. Keep reading to learn more about our appetite suppressant prescription process.

APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS FAQ
Appetite suppressants help reduce your unhealthy cravings and leave you feeling full and satisfied despite consuming smaller portions. The key to weight loss is to burn more calories in a day than you consume. When you consume less calories than the recommended dietary allowance (RDA), even continuing on your regular day without any change in activity will cause you to lose weight.
At AgeRejuvenation, we combine our FDA-approved appetite suppressants with a customized nutrition and exercise plan, allowing you to jump start your weight loss and help you reach your goals.
Our comprehensive approach includes:
1. MIC vitamin injections comprised of a B-Complex and essential amino acids
2. Customized nutrition plan with weekly weigh-ins to assess body composition
3. Daily e-mails with recipes and tailored exercise routine you can do at home
4. Dietary protocol that creates a healthy relationship with food
Our goal at AgeRejuvenation is to not only reach your weight loss goal but to maintain it on your regular routine. With the constant support and guidance of our professional medical team, it’s much easier to maintain good nutrition and health in the future.
In order to stay on track, we conduct weekly clinic visits to allow our health specialists to monitor your results, track your weight loss progress, and make any adjustments necessary to help you along your journey.
When establishing guidelines for your customized program, our specialists review a number of factors including:
1. Weight
2. Body fat
3. Muscle mass
4. Water weight
While these numbers are critical for understanding the body, our team dives deeper and consistently assesses how you’re feeling any changes that may be occurring, including any possible challenges you may be facing during your program, to readjust and make the process smoother for you.
We have a number of patients who are not able to come in for a clinic visit every week. In these cases, we make special accommodations on a week-by-week basis, between our clinic, the practitioner, and the patient to help the patient remain on the program and ultimately be successful.

Michelle McCarthy
Lead Medical Office Administrator
I, Michelle McCarthy, graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration BSHCA in 2016 from University of Phoenix. While going to school full time, I was working full time as well, and taking care of my four children as a single mother. During this course of attending school my children are active in sports football, basketball, and baseball. The key to being able to accomplish and graduate with honor is time management. Once I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration , I decided that I wanted to continue to pursue my education. I enrolled at Independence University to start my Masters in Healthcare Administration MHA program and graduated in 2019.
I have always had the passion and drive for helping patients and helping make a difference in their lives. I take pride and enjoy what I do . I strive to provide the best care to our patients and employees with Age Rejuvenation. I ask myself every day what I can do to be better than I was yesterday.
I love working with Age Rejuvenation as our staff and Providers are here to help change people’s lives. Our Providers take the time to listen to our patients concerns/issues they are currently experiencing and help to put together a treatment plan so the patients can start to feel better and rejuvenated overall health. I’ve worked in several healthcare organizations and can say this is by far the best due to what we practice and specialize in. Another reason if it was not for Age Rejuvenation I would not have had some health issues as this would not be caught at a primary care provider. We look more in depth in lab work. Age Rejuvenation stands by what we practice Hormone Replacement therapy and Medical Weight Loss and Sexual Health .
I enjoy going to the beach, traveling , spending time with my children and going to watch and support them during their football, baseball, and basketball games. I’m their number one supporter.
